Liebster Award

I was tagged by Heather @ Sometimes I’m A Story for the Liebster Award. Thank you, Heather! It's taken me a while to get to this one, but here it is! :)

Give your readers 11 random facts about yourself.
Answer the 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you.
Nominate 11 bloggers to receive this award.
Come up with 11 questions for your nominees.

The Random Facts:
  • I have enough credits for an associate’s degree in English, but still need three classes to graduate.
  • I’ve been to Disney World.
  • One time, I met Beverly Lewis at a book signing. (She is so sweet.)
  • I’m not a good dancer (while the rest of my family can dance).
  • I have never traveled by plane.
  • I have seen The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in theaters five times. I’ve never seen another movie that many times in theaters. (Twice is generally the max.)
  • I’ve been to a few places where TV shows and movies have filmed, but never while they were filming.
  • I’ve read Les Miserables. It took a while.
  • I have three younger siblings.
  • I really want a tiny house.

The Questions:
1.) What blog post are you most proud of?
I’m not sure. Possibly the Beautiful People featuring Mari, from my novel The Luckless Ones. It’s one of my most popular posts, and I was really happy to see so many great responses to her.

2.) Do you find knees super disgusting?
I’ve never thought about it.

3.) What are you currently listening to, or what did you most recently listen to?
Uh, I think the last thing I listened to was a song by Casting Crowns? I don't remember for certain.

4.) Do you like warm hugs?
Yes.

5.) What is your favorite movie?
*spends a lot of time in despair over this question*
While You Were Sleeping, starring Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman. I pretty much have this movie memorized, because it’s been one of my favorites since I was a kid. It’s quirky and sweet and romantic.

6.) What is your favorite snack to make?
I can make a mean batch of sugar cookies, but I also like making brownies.

7.) If you were going to sum up your blog in three words, what would they be?
Quirky. Simple. Hopefully-fun-to-read. (Hyphenation means it counts as one, right?)

8.) Have you ever seen a production on stage?
Yes! I’ve seen several, and it’s one of my favorite things to do, though I don’t get to go as often as I’d like. It started with an Introduction to Theater class, and one of the requirements was attending and reviewing two plays, and I’ve been intrigued ever since.
(So far, I’ve seen Sunday in the Park With George, Little Women, Alice in Wonderland, and Les Miserables. I’ve also seen one that was a compilation of several sketches, but can't think of the name.)

9.) What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this week?
A surprise road trip over to North Carolina.

10.) What’s your favorite book tag?
I don’t think I’ve ever done a book tag before.

11.) If you could say one thing to anyone, what would you say to whom?
Hmm. I’m not really sure. I guess making sure my family knows that I love and appreciate them. I try to do that often.

The Nominees:
I’d like to leave this open for anyone who wants to answer the questions!

    1. Yes! I've enjoyed every play I've seen so far by the local theater group, but Les Mis was pretty amazing. It's one I'd love to see again if they did another performance.
