The Spicy Latte Book Tag

The arrival of summer heat has had me daydreaming of cool autumn days this week, and this bookish tag inspired by cozy fall and winter drinks was the perfect thing for such a mood.

Most importantly – have fun!
Pumpkin Spice Latte | a book you didn’t think you’d love
Frankenstein was totally one of those books I picked up on a whim, thought I’d probably like it well enough, and was pleasantly surprised to find it became one of my all-time favorites. If you follow me on Instagram, you get to see a lot of raving about this book. *nervous laughter*

Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate | a book that felt like a warm hug
There are a few like that for me, but the two coming to mind at the moment are Little Women and Anne of Green Gables. When I think of books I want to read when I’m in the mood for something cozy, those are the two I think of. Even if they do break my heart at times...

Maple Pecan Latte | a book you enjoyed that was hard to get into
Hmm… probably Dracula. I’d always heard that it was a slow one, and it took me months to read it. But I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. It was just really fun to read, and I just loved how dramatic everything was.

London Fog | a vanilla character
I really couldn’t think of one for this?

Hot Buttered Run | a book that was velvety smooth to read
I’m going to have to go with The Scorpio Races here. The writing is just so rich and pretty.

Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew | a character whose temperament is icy cold
Oooh, how about The Voice from Moonscript? Super creepy and icy.

Salted Caramel Mocha | a book that you’re salty about
Does it count if I like to pretend the book doesn’t exist? Because Sisterhood Everlasting is one I that just...*grumbles*

I only remember, like, two things about it and that’s probably because it’s the stuff that made me hate it in the first place.

Honey Bee Latte | a character who is sweet
Cress and Winter from The Lunar Chronicles. They’re sweet cinnamon roll characters who help save the world and I love it.

Gingerbread Latte | a character you’d take home for Christmas
I’d really love to see the Rampion Crew at Christmastime, because they got so into event planning in Stars Above... I just think it would be hilarious and fun.

  1. So many good answers here! Little Women and Anne of Green Gables are definitely like a warm hug, and I love Cress and Winter so much. Such sweet cinnamon rolls. Christmas with the Rampion Crew would be amazing! :)

Also, I feel the exact same about Sisterhood Everlasting. Why, just why?!
