Merry Days | December 2018

It’s time for the last monthly recap of 2018! This month contained a few surprises and new things alongside familiar and favorite traditions.
Continuing Unto Ash.
Progress was slower than I would have liked, but the story is getting closer to its ending. A lot of new material will come in the later chapters, so I’m excited to write those!

ON THE BLOG
Started a new job.
It’s very different from my other job, and it’s been a learning experience not just figuring out the new one, but also learning how to balance two jobs and life stuff. Progress is being made though, and I’m hoping to figure out the workings of the new routine soon.

I tried to make a cute Bible reading tracker for Christmas... At least I can draw stick-figure sheep?
Christmas!
This holiday season rushed by at times, and as always, I was a little sad to see it go. But I had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed spending time with family, making candy to give away, and trying to enjoy the moment.

Day trips to see snow and Christmas lights.
My parents, nephew, and I took a trip up the mountains to see the snow, then crossed over to Cherokee and Maggie Valley for a little while. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Christmas lights up over there before, so that was something fun and new! On Christmas Eve, we took my aunt out to see some more lights a couple cities over, and that was a fun way to spend the hours before Christmas too.

What were your favorite December moments? Are you looking forward to the new year?

  1. Sounds like it was a busy but pleasant December! Mine was the same. Sooo much rushing around getting things done, but at the same time very Christmas-y and enjoyable. I can't believe it's over. o.o But I'm excited about the new year! Speaking of which...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Praying you have a blessed one! <3
