Farewell, August! | August 2022

Here we are at the end of another month already... August has been quite lovely though, with time to rest and reset.

Working on a very exciting writing project!

No details to share at the moment, but it’s been super fun!

#AbouttheAuthorAugust!

As always, it’s so cool to see everyone’s posts and learn more about their projects!

My twenty-ninth birthday.

I know it’s one of those “big” birthdays, but it doesn’t necessarily feel like it yet? I had a lovely, quiet day to celebrate, and my parents got me cakes and candles, and we made homemade pizza. I’m still settling into this last year as a twenty-something, but mostly I’m grateful!

Middle-earth marathons.

Part of the birthday celebrations, and my twelfth year of doing this birthday marathon! I split the trilogies over a few days since I watched the extended editions of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, but it worked out just fine. (I’ve binge-watched all six in two days before, but I had time to split them up this year so that worked out better. I still ended up finishing the marathon on the morning of my birthday!)

Rearranging my room and workspace.

This has been on my to-do list for a bit, and it was a multi-day project while I was on vacation. I really like how it turned out though, and it’s been fun to add some autumn-themed decorations (because even though it’s definitely still summery and hot where I live, I’m looking forward to the coziness of fall).

What was your favorite moment from August? Are you looking forward to autumn?

  1. I'm so glad you had such a lovely August. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I love, love, LOVE that you do Middle-earth marathons every year. That is the best idea ever! I do hope this 29th year proves to be the most beautiful year yet.

And happy September!!! Fall is almost HERE. *dances*
