Farewell, June! | June 2022

June has been a pretty busy month, with work and writing and all kinds of life stuff happening. It’s a little hard to believe that we’re already halfway through this year!

Flash fiction!

I got feedback from friends for a finished flash fiction piece, which is now on sub. I also wrote a fluffier side story with the same characters, just for fun. So I was able to check off one of my goals for this year, and just have a good time writing something a bit different and new than my usual stuff.

Chasing plot bunnies.

It was a very creative month in my brain, so when I wasn’t working on TTS or flash fiction, I was piecing together a novella idea. (And having a really interesting time naming characters in these projects…)

Said goodbye to my dragon kitty.

Ancalagon arrived in my life unexpectedly, but he was the floofy friend I needed without realizing how much I needed him. Even though I wish he could’ve been with me far longer, I’m so grateful for the little while I got to be his human on this earth. He was fearless for such a little dragon, and I miss him.

Watched Jurassic World: Dominion.

This one was fun! I always love seeing the velociraptors, and it’s always a good time seeing the new dinosaurs in the franchise. I was able to catch a midday showing of this one earlier this week, which was a fun way to spend a few hours before the rest of the week got really busy.

Summer has begun!

I have a few things that I would like to do during this season, so I’ve made a small to-do list and decorated it for inspiration. I also have my birthday Middle-earth Marathon to look forward to! I’ve been spending a lot of time outside (when it wasn’t terribly hot), mostly reading, stargazing, and picking blackberries!

How was your month? Do you have any fun summer plans?
