3 Things I Love About Writing
Writing is such a big part of my life, and has been for over fifteen years, so today I thought I’d share a few things I love about it!
A fun creative outlet.
I never would have guessed when I first started writing that it would become my favorite creative outlet. I’ve always been a creative, and I’ve been in love with words and stories since I was small, and the combination of those two things has shaped so much of who I am. I love being able to explore new worlds and make something with words!
The community.
Through writing, I’ve “met” so many creative and talented writers! They inspire and encourage me to improve my own writing, and I can only hope to offer such inspiration and encouragement into the community.
A way to keep learning.
I love to learn. Whether it’s some aspect of writing craft or storytelling, or researching history or other things for a specific story, I love being able to go on little “research” dives and find out new things. More often than not, I might get a little more in-depth in the research part than I need to for a story, but I still enjoy it.
What are your favorite things about writing?
I absolutely LOVE this!!! And totally agree! Especially about it being my favorite creative outlet and the community. I've met the most dearest friends via writing and it blesses me so much. That is definitely one of my tippity top favorite things about it.
ReplyDeleteI also just love the whole, well, CREATING part of it. Coming up with characters and concepts and all of it. It's such a delight having people and worlds in my head! Writers basically get to play make believe for a living and it's the BEST. :D
