The Whatsover Cafe | April 2022

What is the Whatsoever Cafe?

A once-monthly blog post meet up here at Lovely Whatsoevers where we can gather in the comments and talk about writing victories and struggles, what’s inspiring us, and to just have fun talking about the writing life! The virtual doors will open on the second Saturday of each month, but you can join any time of the month!

So find a seat at the virtual tables, grab your favorite (real or virtual) cozy drink, and let’s chat!

on the cafe radio: “writing in a dark fantasy castle on a stormy night” by abbie emmons

What you’re working on:
Still chipping away at The Treasonist’s Son!

A writing victory:
Finishing a tricky chapter. I was able to get through the whole thing in a couple of hours, which was pretty nice!

A writing struggle:
I’m trying not to get caught up in the fact that I’m not writing every day during a Camp NaNo month. It’s not really a struggle, though—more of just…weird?

What’s inspiring you:
Pretty weather, and just seeing progress being made.

A goal for the month:

I’ve set a 20,000-word goal for Camp, though it’s less about the word count and more about just getting to a certain point in these revisions.

Let’s chat! Feel free to answer all of the questions or just a few. I can’t wait to hear how you’re writing is going this month!
