Snippets | February 2020 + TAD2 Title Reveal!

Usually, I’d be doing a snippets post on the 25th of the month, but this month’s snippets collection is extra special—the title of TAD2 is being revealed! I’ve been referring to this story as TAD2 publicly for so long that it’s almost a little strange to call it anything else here!
Last week, I shared some hints about the title on social media, and here they are in case you missed those:

🏹 HINT NUMBER ONE: The title is three words and the first word is The.
🏹 HINT NUMBER TWO: Like The Assassin’s Daughter, the title refers to a character.
🏹 HINT NUMBER THREE: The title does not reference Katira.

Sometimes, Kat envied him the ability to hide things so easily, but then she saw him in moments like this when an expression crossed his face like a message she wanted desperately to understand but couldn’t. No amount of training had taught her how to understand such a code.
He hadn’t liked thievery, but it was a necessity of survival, so he’d taken what coin or food he could and made the best of it.
Kat could trust whoever she wanted and felt she could trust, but none of that meant Ed had to as well. Sometimes, getting one’s hands dirty was the only way to get the wanted answers—and if it had to be him, he’d do the job.
Now, how about that title reveal?

I can’t wait to share more about this book with you all, and I really appreciate the patience and encouraging words during this longer-than-planned writing process! (And there’s still time to enter the giveaway for a signed paperback of The Assassin’s Daughter!)
