April Happenings | April 2019

Spring sunshine has finally arrived, and there are flowers and bright colors everywhere and I’m just really excited about the season this year. ^_^
Camp NaNoWriMo!
Sometimes Camp NaNo is really easy. Sometimes, it’s not. This month often felt like the latter, because I had a difficult time focusing on writing every now and then or fell behind on my writing goals. Still, I’ve wrestled with some difficult chapters and made it through, and things are falling into place as needed, and I’ve added 15K to these revisions as I had hoped to.

ON THE BLOG

AROUND THE BLOGOSPHERE

April’s fairy tale theme was Rumpelstiltskin (one of my all-time favorites!), and there are so many great posts on FTC about the fairy tale, related retellings, and other things. One of my favorites was “The Engimatic Mr. Gold.”

Christine has created the tag we all need to cope with our MCU-related feelings. (I’m currently drafting my responses to this to post on the blog in May. This tag is so much fun!)
I’m going to be an auntie again!
My second nephew/first niece will arrive this autumn and I am very excited. Being an aunt is so much fun, and it’ll be interesting having two little ones around to spoil and train in the ways of all things nerd, hehe.

Watched Avengers: Endgame in theaters.
Did I get teary in the theater? Yes, yes I did, sometimes for reasons differently than what I expected.

Overall, I loved it and for the ending of a story years in the making, I’m not sure they could have told a different story and made it as fitting an end as it was. It was super fun to see if any theories/predictions I had were right, and see what surprises were in store. I’m still processing all my thoughts about it and haven’t really stopped talking about the movie since watching it last Friday. Oooops.

Have any fun springtime adventures this month? Tell me about them in the comments!

    1. It's been soooo nice. (Aside from the pollen, but alas.)

      Thank you!

Oh my goodness, it's so exciting! Being an aunt is soooo much fun. ^_^

I KNOW. There's just so much stuff to process and talk about! Most of my family has seen it now, so that's been the primary topic of conversation through the week, hehe. It was so, so good though, and definitely a worthy end to the saga.

The MCU tag was SO fun. And after seeing Endgame, it was a great opportunity to talk about some favorite characters. I can't wait to hear what you think of it when you see it! It's sooo worth the wait though. :D

Thank you! I'm so excited about it!
