November Happenings | November 2019

November was, as expected, a very busy month! That said, there isn’t much to put into a blog post because most of the busyness came from NaNo stuff. So this monthly recap is short, but still features some highlights of the month!

I won NaNoWriMo!
This was probably the most difficult NaNo year for me since 2014, and though it didn’t go as planned, it was still fun and I’m glad I participated. I’ve enjoyed writing The Unlikely Adventure of Felix McKay and while it has flaws, it’s a project I’ve grown quite fond of. The draft isn’t done, but I’m hoping to finish it soon.

I didn’t do many blogging-related things at all in November, except to post on LW a couple times. So I want to know: What were your favorite posts around the blogosphere this month?

ON THE BLOG
My second nephew was born!
Being an auntie is one of my favorite things, so I’m excited to have another nephew around.

Reading.
I accomplished a good amount of reading in November, which was kind of surprising. I made it through a few more titles on my fall reading list, and hope to finish a few more soon.

Thanksgiving.
This year, my family hosted lunch on Thanksgiving Day. It was a smaller gathering than usual, but both nephews were here and Nephew One and I watched the Macy’s Parade together. And, as always, there was great food and great company.

Christmas prep.
For possibly the first time ever, I finished most of my shopping by the end of November. The holidays are my favorite time of year and all the Christmas preparations make me happy. ^_^
Did you do NaNoWriMo? How did it go? Read any great books? Tell me about your November!
