Goodbye, September! | September 2022

September has been a very full and busy month. Mostly the everyday life stuff sort of busy, though there have been some other happenings that have made the month feel sort of a blur looking back on it...

Signing a flash fiction contract with Havok Publishing!

I’ve talked a little at length about a space scifi story I’ve been working on this year, and I’m super excited that The Archivist will go live on Havok’s website on October 11th! This story was so much fun and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Autumn’s arrival.

Summer stuck around for a while this year, with one last heat wave during the last days of the season. The first hints of autumn color started early though, and I’ve been (mostly) patiently planning all the fall things. It’s also been nice to do some stargazing during the cool autumn nights now that the skies are a little clearer.

Fangirling over Middle-earth.

Not that this is anything new for me, hehe. But I celebrated Hobbit Day with another mini indoor picnic of lembas and apple cider, which as always is a fun little way to celebrate. I’ve also fallen in love with the Rings of Power show, even though I was a little undecided on my expectations for it. So far, I’m really enjoying the show!

Spending time with family.

It’s been a hectic month, but I’ve been grateful for time to spend with loved ones.

How was your September?

  1. Aaaahhhh that's SO thrilling you're going to have a story up on Havok. EEP. Congrats!!! And YES to celebrating all things Middle-earth. This is the best time for that and I love how you embraced it.

I do hope you have the most amazing fall. Happy October!
