Goodbye, July! | July 2022

July has been a pretty busy month, with writing and reading and a few summery happenings!

Chasing plot bunnies.

I’ve been working on the usual revisions, and also working on a novella and a contemporary short story.

Lots of reading.

July has been an abundant reading month, which has been pretty nice! I’ve been reading a bit of nonfiction as well as fiction across a few genres. I reread the Hunger Games trilogy and read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. (It’s been about ten years since I last read the trilogy and it was just as much of an emotional rollercoaster as it was then. I’M TOTALLY FINE.)

Summery things.

Spending time with family for Independence Day and having a small cookout with fireworks. Going to the farmers’ market with my mom and finding bunches of lavender. A birthday party for one of my nephews. Making a summer playlist.

How was your July?
